Shakti completed his medical degree in 2003.   Shakti commenced his anaesthetic training in Malaysia in 2005, where he worked in one of the biggest tertiary hospitals in the region, both as an anesthetic and intensive care trainee.

 

Shakti migrated to Australia in 2010 and entered the training the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist training program undertaking his training at Western Health and Austin Health.  Shakti completed his anaesthetic training and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2013.

 

Shakti has a public appointment at Ballarat Health Services and is actively involved in education for anaesthetic trainees and nursing staff in the areas of anaesthesia and obstetric emergencies.  He is also a lecturer for Deakin School of Clinical Medicine.

 

Shakti has been involved with the Interplast, an Australian aid organization,  travelling to Vanuatu as part of a surgical team to treat children with cleft lip and cleft palate.

 

When he’s not busy teaching and caring for patient’s Shakti enjoy’s spending time on his hobby farm.
